No Place for Hate®

The ADL’s No Place for Hate® program is the cornerstone of its anti-bias and diversity efforts in the ADL’s Southwest Region. No Place for Hate® schools earn their designation by utilizing the ADL’s No Place for Hate® Resource Guide to complete activities.

Launched in schools, the popular program has been embraced by hundreds campuses since its inception in 2001, including many in the Houston area, a school in the Santa Fe Independent School District, and others in Austin and Round Rock in central Texas. Participants sign the Resolution of Respect, complete at least three anti-bias activities, and document those activities through a fulfillment form.

In addition to the Resolution of Respect and the anti-bias activities mentioned above, the guide includes a calendar of religious and cultural observances with definitions of those observances, hate crime information, ways to respond to hate incidents and hate crimes in schools, and tips for responding to hurtful language and situations.
