  • March 15, 2025

ADL Southwest Region Board Member and Vice Chair Joel Gluskin received the Daniel R. Ginsberg Award from ADL at the agency’s National Leadership Summit on March 2 in New York.

The award recognizes outstanding young professionals for their leadership in the fight against anti-Semitism, racism and all forms of prejudice. Gluskin has been a passionate, active participant in ADL’s Southwest Region since he was a member of the Glass Leadership Institute.

“Joel was chosen for this prestigious award due to his unwavering dedication and impactful contributions to ADL,” said Ruth Frias, ADL’s National Senior Associate Director, Young Leadership. “Joel’s passion for ADL’s mission is evident in his efforts to combat antisemitism and support
marginalized communities. Joel’s commitment to creating a better world for his daughters and future generations truly embodies the spirit of the Ginsberg Award.”

Gluskin hit the ground running as a member of ADL’s Glass Leadership Institute, co-chairing a successful silent auction that accompanied the region’s Houston in Concert Against Hate for two years. From there, he eventually moved on to the Southwest Regional Board, the International Affairs Committee, ADL ACT, became a regional Vice Chair and ADL National Commissioner.

He is a busy trader in the Oil and Gas Industry, husband of talented photographer Talya Arbisser, (whom he met through ADL,) and the father of two young children, but he always makes time for ADL.

“I am extremely honored to receive the Daniel R. Ginsberg Young Leadership Award along with five of my peers from around the country,” Gluskin said. “The ADL’s mission is extremely important today and I’m
proud to be recognized for my work to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment for all.”

Gluskin’s Ginsberg Award also was recognized by the Arbisser and Gluskin families which made special donations to the Southwest Region in his honor. “We are very grateful to the Arbisser and Gluskin families for their generous donations, gestures which make Joel’s honor even more meaningful,” said
Southwest Region Development Director Mary Gentry-Roberts.
