Houston In Concert Against Hate will be an inspirational evening of theatre honoring the progress of American civil rights over the last 50 years since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed by President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Powerful stories of civil rights heroes from Houston will be presented along with a medley of musical and dramatic theatre vignettes. The evening will spotlight Houston’s rich diversity and honor individuals and organizations that have made a difference in promoting and protecting civil rights for all.
The evening begins with a dinner for major donors preceding the Concert. A post-Concert dessert reception will give the evening’s sponsors a chance to meet and greet our celebrity narrator, Emmy- and Academy Award-winner Louis Gossett, Jr., and the wonderful honorees.
