Houston in Concert Against Hate: An Evening with the Houston Rockets

Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts 615 Louisiana Street, Houston, TX, United States

Houston in Concert Against Hate: An Evening with the Houston Rockets presents the world-renowned Houston Symphony and moving stories of ADL’s work to combat hate and promote respect. This year we honor Leslie Alexander, owner of the Houston Rockets, who established the Clutch City Foundation in 1995 to provide help, hope and inspiration to those who might otherwise be forgotten and for whom charitable giving is a way of life. We also celebrate two deserving Civil Rights Heroes: Mayor Pro Tem Ellen Cohen, a committed leader whose work to champion women’s equality, LGBTQ rights, and justice for all has had a profound effect on Houston, and Cecil Fong, a retired businessman and current Executive Director of the Diversity Summit, a non-profit founded in 1999 to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Reverend Mike Cole, General Presbyter of the Presbytery of New Covenant, will receive the Julie and Ben Rogers Ecumenism Award for his work to build bridges between people of different faiths through dialogue and action locally and nationally.

The night will begin with a VIP meet & greet reception with the Houston Rockets players followed by a cocktail reception with the team and silent auction with items exclusive to the event. The highlight of the evening will be a spectacular performance by the Houston Symphony. At the conclusion, all guests are invited to the dessert finale in the Grand Lobby.
