Nine Houston law firms will be participating in the Southwest Region’s Summer Associate Research Project (SARP) which involves the firms’ summer associates researching cases and topics for ADL.
Every year, ADL provides participating law firms with the topics to be considered, and the firms select what they will have their summer associates research. The associates then prepare a written memorandum on what they have found, and ADL benefits from this because the information helps with the agency’s daily civil rights work.
Participating firms include: Andrews Kurth LLP, Baker Botts L.L.P., Cozen O’Connor, Haynes and Boone, LLP, Nathan Sommers Jacobs, Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, Schlanger Silver Barg & Paine, LLP, Vinson & Elkins LLP, and Winston & Strawn LLP.
Participating firms’ summer associates and supervising attorneys are invited to attend a breakfast June 8 at Vinson & Elkins with ADL’s Jean and Jerry Moore Southwest Area Civil Rights Counsel Cheryl Drazin will speak about “Civil Rights: Not Just a History Lesson.” Special thanks to Ellyn Josef, Chair, ADL’s 2015 Summer Associate Research Project and to V&E for hosting the kick off breakfast.
