On Tuesday, May 21, ADL’s Central Division virtually lobbied members of Congress. Southwest Region advocates met with Sen. John Cornyn.  The agenda included a review of ADL’s Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, which recorded an unprecedented rise in antisemitism and requests to:

• Co-sponsor and support S.4091, the Countering Antisemitism Act
• Co-sponsor and support S.3580, the Protecting Students on Campus Act
• Support additional nonprofit security grant funding in 2025
• Ensure that the White House executes the National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism

Recognizing the rise in antisemitism, the senator was receptive to the requests and expressed strong support for ADL’s work.
