Rolling Stone’s headline talks about Bun B. as the “first rapper to perform with the Houston Symphony,” and in the interview, Bun B. mentions his collaboration with the Houston Symphony and ADL.

He characterizes Houston in Concert Against Hate (November 14) as:  “a concert presentation honoring Houston heroes of civil rights and people who have stood against injustice, against hatred, and against violence, specifically in the city of Houston.”

He says his name was first on the list when the Symphony and ADL decided to include a hip-hop artist and adds:  “I wasn’t going to let them get to the second name.”
