Registration has begun for participation in the Southwest Region’s No Place for Hate® Initiative for the 2015-2016 school year. This marks the 15th year of the Initiative in the region, which provides educators and students with the resources to ensure that anti-bias and diversity education are an integral part of the school curriculum.
No Place for Hate® also helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual difference while challenging bigotry and prejudice.
Participating campuses must register, sign ADL’s Resolution of Respect, complete at least three approved anti-bias activities, and provide documentation of those activities to ADL.
As of September 15, 180 schools had registered through the Southwest Region’s new registration page, following an easy, all-online process. This year, in an effort to get schools to utilize ADL educational resources, we’re requiring that at least one activity be an ADL curriculum-based best practice activity.
Deadline for registration for the 2015-2016 school year is October 15.
